About us
Chi Mino Ozhitoowin
Chi Mino Ozhitoowin LP is a 100% First Nation–owned, for-profit organization with a strategic focus on the construction of the Waasigan Transmission Line — moving from training and employment toward ownership, enterprise, and lasting benefit for our seven partnering communities.
Who we are
Chi Mino Ozhitoowin LP was established through a partnership with Valard Construction LP and Hydro One Networks Inc. to deliver Indigenous engagement on the Waasigan Transmission Line — a flagship project in northwestern Ontario.
We are headquartered in Fort William First Nation. As a subcontractor and partner, we promote cultural awareness and bridge understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners — while creating real engagement, training, employment, and business opportunities for our communities.
What our name means
